Dreamcatcher DIY

Time to crochet yourself a lil' something for your bedroom! I love dream catchers, now you can crochet yourself one! And if you plan the colors right! It can match that Dressed Up Pillow you already have!

You will need:
-White-ish Crochet Thread.
-A small Crochet hook (like an E or smaller) for the crochet thread.
-Colored Worsted Weight Yarn.
-A slightly larger hook to go with your colored yarn (like an H).
-A Tapestry Needle
-Tape Measure
-Scissors
-Circle Purse handles

So... start off with your crochet thread and small needle and make the inside part of your dream catcher.
Ch 4. Join with a sl st to make a small loop.
Row 1: Make 10 Dc into the center of your ch-4 loop and join with a sl st.
Row 2: Ch 2. 1 Dc, Ch 1 into each dc of previous row. Join with a sl st.
Row 3: Ch 2. (Dc, Ch 1, Dc, Ch 1) into each dc of previous row. Skip the ch stitches. Join with a sl st.
Row 4: Ch 2. *1 Dc into first dc of previous row. Ch 1 and skip ch-1 space of previous row. (Dc, Ch 1, Dc, Ch 1) into the next dc of previous row. Skip the next ch-1 space. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st.
Row 5: Ch 2. *1 Dc into first dc of previous row. Ch 1 and skip ch-1 space of previous row. ! dc into second dc of previous row. Ch 1 and skip ch-1 space of previous row. (Dc, Ch 1, Dc, Ch 1) into the next dc of previous row. Skip the next ch-1 space. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st.
Row 6: Ch 2. *(1 Dc in dc of previous row. Ch 1 and skip ch-1 space of previous row) 3 times. (Dc, Ch 1, Dc, Ch 1) in the 4 dc of previous row. Skip the next ch-1 space. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st.

For my rings, this is a good place to stop. If your rings are larger our our gauges are different, continue until this circular piece you are making is able to stretch and fill your circle purse handles.

Cut a very long tail, and bind off. Thread this long tail through your tapestry needle. Loosely sew this crochet piece into the center of the purse handles by wrapping it around the handle and through every few stitches of the circle piece you have made. Knot and tie off.

With your colorful worsted weight yarn and larger hook, make single crochet stitches to surround your purse handle. When you have made it all the way around the purse handle, join with a sl st. Chain 30 and join back into the circle with a sl st, making a small loop for hanging.

Add fringe if you would like. Begin by cutting 2 12 inch strands of thick yarn. Fold in half and thread through as fringe opposite from where you have made the hanging loop. Cut 4 strands of 11 inch strands. Attach 2 strands on each side of the original piece of fringe. Repeat this with 10 inch strands, 9 inch strands, 8 inches, 7 inches, and 6 inches.

And Boom. Done. Hang in your room or the room of someone you love, and catch some sweet dreams!
